HOW TO ENTER for 2019
Do YOU have what it takes?
If you’d like to enter, live in the UK and are aged between 18 and 23, simply fill in the entry form below and send us details of your risotto creation along with a photo of the finished dish by 31st October 2019.
8 regional finalists will then be invited to a cook-off in their area, Middlesbrough College on the 11th of November, Braehead Foods Development Kitchen in Kilmarnock on the 12th November, Loughborough College on the 18th November and Milton Keynes College, to finish, on the 22nd November.
The top two from each session will then be invited to cook their dish in front of our Grand Final judges on 20th January 2020 and the winner will be named the UK Riso Gallo Young Risotto Chef of the Year for 2020!

|Do list ingredients in your menu title if you can. Please note you can bring a pre-made stock if you wish.|
|Keep the titles simple – don’t overcomplicate.|
|Please write a maximum of 150 words on why you have chosen your dish and why you would like to win this competition.|
|Tell us your story! Are you focusing on local ingredients or Italian ingredients, is there a personal connection with Italy – family connection with Italy, childhood holidays, recipe from grandmother etc.|
|Ideally write out the recipe in your own words (Please don’t cut and paste recipes from the internet).|
|You can provide a video of the dish but this is not essential and won’t affect the judging decision.|
|Please provide the right quantity of ingredients for 2 people – don’t cook more than you need to save wastage. You have 30 minutes of prep time and an hour to cook and present your final dish to the judges.|
